My dear cousin, its been a year since you went away.
Never again to see another day.
Your voice still echoes in my soul.
Your smile is one I'll never forget.
You've made me laugh, you've made me cry.
And now you're my Angel in the sky.
I feel your presence though you're nowhere in sight.
There's not a moment you're not on my mind.
Someday Trini, we'll be together again.
And together we'll reside in Heaven

Darkness
Away you flew into the dark night,
While we grasped your lifeless body
And held it tight.
Fear shook my body as the reality sunk in:
Never
Would I see you again.
Now I'm so lost and confused.
There were so many things for us to do,
Things you had yet to do.
I can scream, cry, and yell.
But what good would that do??
It hurts me so bad to see you this way.

THE STRENGTH TO ENDURE
I know it is hard, I can feel your pain
But you'll never see sunshine, if you avoid the rain.
Your tears are your 'pillar of strength'.
Trust me sweetheart, you gotta have faith.
Through many hardships I have learned
That god will give you the strength to endure.
No matter what life may bring to your way
You'll be suprised at what happens when you have faith.
Little as it may be, the lord he knows all
Its your heart he can see!
"why" you ask, "does he do me this way?"
Its okay dear, don't be afraid.
He leads you through darkness to appreciate the light.
It is lifes most daring fight.
He is there, right by your side
Your constant companion the one in whom, You can confide.
So please sweet child Don't feel so alone.
It is all part of his glorious plan To see you safely home!

An Angel's Kiss
Consumed with grief, I lay awake everynight.
For I did not choose to live my life right.
Instead I did as I pleased,
failing each night
to get on my knees...
And pray to the Lord for my salvation.
Instead I gave in to each temptation.
I fought with my Loved Ones, and partied with drugs.
Instead of each night giving the little ones hugs.
My heart is filled with so much guilt,
over the chaos that I myself built.
But now I can see the error of my ways!
And gone forever are those awful days;
I'd cry myself to sleep
Because now I choose to get on my knees.
I pray for forgiveness to the Lord above.
That He will fill my family with my Love.
Although I am far away, I know it'll be better someday.
And now Dear Lord, my prayer is this:
"God Bless my family with 'AN ANGEL'S KISS'!"
