Life
Through these countless years
The multitude of tears
Attempts to evade our fears

With difficulty we try
Not to cry
As life passes us by

To live our dreams
Not the schemes
So it seems

Such a foolish thing
To want to bring
A gleam

Of foolish hope
We try to cope
Feeling as a dope

This thing with all it’s strife
This which takes all our might
What we call life

Heaven’s Gate
Ivory and pearl upon hinges gold
Behind for time eternal riches to behold
A gate which swings but so
For few….already paid is the toll

Eternal Love
Past passions grown cold
Love withered in time
But in child's innocent eyes
We find our love eternal

Confusion
Swirling patterns
Of thoughts
Into misguided interpretations
Of uncertain realities
Misrepresenting
Ideals of things to be
Encased in a hazy fog
Of uncertainties
And unfulfilled dreams
Of shattered hopes
Always
True purpose
Hidden from sight
Is this destiny?
