Seeing Me
About me  |  Message Me

Seeing Me I see you looking at me Tell me What is it that you see? Do you see the ten year old Long blonde hair, kissed by the sun Running through the yellow field behind Her home? Do you see the awkward teen Looking out her bed room window Full of wonder, looking at the Moon Asking whom will she marry? Do you see the seventeen year old Walking away from her fathers’ grave? Do you see her laying in the sand Feeling the coolness Of the North Carolina waves? Do you see me walking down The Isle on her journey With her mate? Do you see the mother Holding the child that came Finally on that October day? Do you see me on the day Of the divorce driving away From the court? Will you see the one That knows life is Too short to be small? Will you see the one Trying to learn the language of Italian To walk on the street of Florence Gazing at DeVinci? Will you see the one that knows The true nature of love is all In the eyes of the beholder? It took years for me to know Just what I’m all about. Measuring me These are the instruments that Have shaped my life from the inside out. It is all there for you to find out. But right now, I can See only you Looking at me.

Seeing Me
Seeing Me

I see you looking at me
Tell me
What is it that you see?

Do you see the ten year old
Long blonde hair, kissed by the sun
Running through the yellow field behind
Her home?

Do you see the awkward teen
Looking out her bed room window
Full of wonder, looking at the Moon
Asking whom will she marry?

Do you see the seventeen year old
Walking away from her fathers’ grave?

Do you see her laying in the sand
Feeling the coolness
Of the North Carolina waves?

Do you see me walking down
The Isle on her journey
With her mate?

Do you see the mother
Holding the child that came
Finally on that October day?

Do you see me on the day
Of the divorce driving away
From the court?

Will you see the one
That knows life is
Too short to be small?

Will you see the one
Trying to learn the language of Italian
To walk on the street of Florence
Gazing at DeVinci?

Will you see the one that knows
The true nature of love is all
In the eyes of the beholder?

It took years for me to know
Just what I’m all about.

Measuring me
These are the instruments that
Have shaped my life from the inside out.
It is all there for you to find out.

But right now,
I can
See only you
Looking at me.
