deep inside
stranger yet i never tried
where did you come from
why did you see
needed someone
to care about me
feel like i have known you
all of my life
happiness followed
look in your eyes
wanted to share
wanted to show you
how much i care
dont understand it
frightens me so
whenever im with you
im happy you know
smallest of moments
oh so grand
happy when you
just hold my hand
sharing a new time
in both our lives
smiling and loving
i hope that it is right
just happy and thankful
to have my new friend

The Love of a Child

spending the day ,with my grand kids yesterday, made me think.nothing compares ,with the emotions of a child.to feel them trying ,to show thier independance ,and watching over thier shoulder ,to make sure your still there. the emotional bond, when they are in your care, deepens so dramatically.the games they play ,to get your attention, the need they show, of being accepted.the love ,they show when they look into your eyes.so real ,so fresh, and without any reservations.amazing reality, so unlike the ways of adults.sure they play games, manuvers, to push you ,to see how much ,they can manipulate you, but innocently.to see the joy ,in thier faces ,of the simple things. true flowing ,example of what is real.children, and animals, show unconditional love, what happens? what changes, to make an adult ,to lose the real responses, of this gift?the answer, to this could bring a special peace, maybe even world peace! leads me to believe ,there is hope, for this sick, sad ,world we live in! think... what is the answer?

to rush a situation
you miss important things
to force what is not ment to be
a mistake so unfortunately
to try to make what does not exist
a damaging hurt to accomplish this
what's ment to be will find it's way
a prayer i ask for everyday
unanswered prayers sometimes mean
they simply are not ment to be
so open up your eyes you'll see
the answer oh so clear to me
sometimes the things we wish to be
we simply are not ment to see
to force them to a reality
only brings pain most definately
so my prayer includes
this simple phrase
give me strength to know the ways
see what lays ahead of me
your will be done faithfully
so if what i wish dont come true
i know it's best for me and you
